Inca area guide: things to do, local history and walks
Inca does a busy Thursday market, a museum devoted to the town’s shoemaking trade and the kind of lunch that makes you reconsider your afternoon plans. Start in the old streets and see which of the three takes longest.

What to see and how to plan your visit
Spend your visit around the old centre and plan time for the Museu del Calçat i de la Indústria if you want a fuller picture of the town. Check opening times before going.
Local history and heritage
Shoemaking and leather work help explain Inca’s identity as an industrial town. Look beyond the shops to the museum’s account of how shoes were made and how the trade shaped working life.
A short walk
Choose a town-centre walk, with the museum as a stop. Check the current TIB rail timetable if coming without a car.
Regular markets
- Thursday mornings in central Inca. The 2026 calendar lists Gran Via de Colom and Carrer de Jaume Armengol as part of the summer layout.
- The calendar also lists the Sunday markets at Son Amonda and Mercat dels Encants, plus a seasonal Friday market on Carrer Major and Carrer del Comerç. Check local dates and locations before a special trip.
