Sineu area guide: things to do, local history and walks

Go to Sineu on Wednesday if you want the market in full swing. Come another day if you want time to look at the church, the old convent and the streets around them. Either way, leave a little room for lunch.

What to see and how to plan your visit

Start around Santa Maria and walk the old streets towards the former convent of Els Mínims. Check the market calendar if you want to visit on a busier day.

Local history and heritage

Sineu’s civic and religious buildings give a sense of its historic importance away from Palma. The former convent and surrounding streets show another side of the town beyond its market.

A short walk

An old-town walking circuit is the simplest option. Build in time to stop rather than trying to cover the whole town in one loop.

Regular markets
