Binissalem area guide: things to do, local history and walks

Binissalem is wine country, so give yourself time for the village as well as the tasting. The stone houses and parish square are worth a wander first, particularly if somebody else has volunteered to drive.

What to see and how to plan your visit

Start in the historic centre and allow time to see the townscape around the parish church. If you want to visit a winery, check booking requirements in advance.

Local history and heritage

The town centre was designated a historic site in 1983. Buildings such as Can Gelabert show a different side of local heritage from the wineries around town.

A short walk

Use the public streets around the centre for an easy heritage walk. Check the opening arrangements for any house you want to visit.

Regular markets

Friday mornings around Plaça de l’Església and its adjoining streets in Binissalem town.
